Author Guidelines

Manuscript preparation

Submissions should be written in clear academic English, present an original scholarly contribution, and follow the reporting standards appropriate to the study design and discipline.

• Use A4 page size with readable, consistent formatting.
• Prepare an editable manuscript file; DOCX is the preferred working format.
• Include a concise title, author names, affiliations, corresponding-author information, abstract and keywords.
• Organize the main text using discipline-appropriate headings such as Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusion where applicable.
• Number figures and tables consecutively and cite each item in the main text.
• Use clear captions, define abbreviations and report units consistently.
• References must be complete, accurate and consistently formatted.

Article types

Required author information

• Full author names and institutional affiliations.
• Corresponding author email and contact information.
• ORCID identifiers where available.
• Author-contribution statement where appropriate.
• Funding information and grant identifiers where applicable.
• Conflict-of-interest declaration.
• Data-availability statement where relevant.
• Ethics approval and consent information for regulated research.

Submission checklist

• The manuscript fits the journal and selected academic section.
• The work is original and is not under simultaneous consideration elsewhere.
• All authors have approved the submitted version and author order.
• Figures, tables, supplementary files and references are complete.
• Required ethics, consent, funding, data and conflict disclosures are included.
• Any material use of generative AI is disclosed in accordance with EJSIR policy.
• The manuscript does not contain fabricated, falsified, plagiarised or manipulated material.

Reference style

Numeric in-text citations are supported in forms such as [1], [1, 4], [3–6] and [2, 5–8, 11]. Reference entries should contain sufficient bibliographic information to identify the cited work reliably.

Equations, figures and supplementary material

Display equations should be numbered consecutively when referenced in the text. High-quality figures should be supplied in suitable publication resolution. Supplementary material must be clearly named and described.
