Editorial appeals

Authors may submit a reasoned appeal when they believe a decision involved a significant factual, procedural or interpretive error. An appeal should address the decision directly rather than simply restating disagreement.

Complaints

Complaints about process, conduct, ethics or service are reviewed by an appropriate person who is not directly conflicted in the matter.

Outcome

The journal may uphold the original decision, reopen assessment, request additional review or take other proportionate action. Repeated appeals without materially new grounds may be declined.
